do miklos : The term "tranny" derives from the word "transgendered" - meaning a person who experiences a gender identity inconsistent with their assigned gender at birth. Most remain undiagnosed and in this state of gender dysphoria throughout their lives, some live as their identified gender while retaining the genitals of their birth, only a few complete the transformation with SRS to finally match their actual gender with their psychological gender. While these people could be referred to as men/women (and they certainly themselves now feel that they are so) the definition of the word means that they can still be classed as "transgendered".
